Afghan Refugee crushed between two trucks in Patras, Greece

On Saturday afternoon, 27th of November, a 24 years old afghan refugee, father of three children, was crushed between two trucks during his effort to climb in one of them and leave for Italy. This happened in the national road Patras-Korinthos (in Greece).
According to the Group for solidarity to refugees and immigrants the 24 year old man together with other afghan refugees was trying to enter a truck while it was stopped in front of a traffic light. Behind it there was another truck and its driver tried to push away the refugees by honking and approached the truck in front of him. The afghan man did not manage to escape and was severely injured. He was transferred to the hospital of Patras where he passed away 5 hours later. The police characterized the incident as a slight accident and the driver was released instead of standing trial.
Today (29th of November) in the afternoon there will be a demonstration at the central square of Patras against this decision.
A lot of refugees try to climb and hide in trucks at the port of Patras that are leaving for ports in Italy. Some of the refugees die of suffocation inside the boat, others suffer accidents like the one stated before.
As long as the borders are closed, there will be people dying during their effort to cross them. Dublin regulation must be abolished and European borders must open.

Greece: 4 immigrants found dead in a truck trailer

November 23, 2010. The bodies of four sans-papiers immigrants, believed to be from Iran, were found in an
abandoned truck trailer parked in the Amfilohia region of western coastal Greece. The bodies were discovered after police examined the trailer, which had been abandoned in the city entrance and left detached from the truck, considering its presence suspicious.
In the interior of the trailer were wooden boxes, one of which contained the four dead bodies, while the others were empty and may possibly have also hidden undocumented migrants that fled the scene.
According to the doctors, the immigrants died before two or three days. The truck was obviously transporting sans-papiers immigrants and the people smugglers either had forgotten the four immigrants in the boxes or they left them there after they realised that the immigrants were dead.
The trailer had Italian licence plates and is believed to have been destined for the western Greek port of Patras in order to board an Italy-bound ferry boat.

Afghan refugees struggle for asylum in Greece

Fifty or more Afghan refugees have camped in Propylaia, Athens in protest over the Greek goverment's refusal to give them asylum. Athens, Greece. 25/11/2010
ASSYLUM AND HOUSING FOR ALL REFUGEES.
All we refugees from Afghanistan came to Europe becouse we couldn't live any more in refugee camps in our country.
We can't live any more in villages that are bombed by NATO airplanes or are ravaged by the army and its tanks. We can't live us and our families not only becouse there is no freedom or democracy but also because the economy is non existent.
We can't live in the neighboring countries like Pakistan as war has reached it also destructive floodings that had made a new wave of poverty, hunger and refugees. We were chased in Iran, in Turkey and in many other countries.
We don't want anyone to take advantage of our right to live and stay away from the various battlefields. No more people drowned on Aegean sea or in Evros river. Neither to be sent back by the European countries in the name of the Dublin 2 treaty to be again on the run and homeless facing the police, facists and racists.
We want peace... which is more valuable and all the people around the world want it. Lets make the countries stop their wars and bring back the occupation armies and give the money they spend for education or for health.
We have the right for political asylum for all the refugees and the Greek goverment must give it to us.
We call the Greek citizens to support our struggle.

WE NEED ANSWER FROM .EU. WE ARE HUMANS ....

Thousands of Afghan refugees fleeing ethnic attacks in Afghanistan have landed in Greece, a signatory to the EU convention on refugee protection. They have been attacked by racist gangs, sometimes aided by Greek police. The Greek government provides few or no basic services required by the EU convention. It is a human rights disaster ignored by most governments, NGOs, and the media.
if we knew that we wl die in one of these EU . country's i think we would like to prefer to
die in our own country ...
A kid who weighed 50 pounds would be working with five or six-pounds bricks, for every 1000 bricks they would earn 90 rupes, which is $ 1,5
